Afghan Adjustment Act

URC's observance of the UN Day of Peace included info on the Afghan Adjustment Act. That Zoom meeting can be accessed here!

The Afghan Adjustment Act (AAA) is a bipartisan bill aimed at giving tens of thousands of Afghans in the United States a path to citizenship. The bill would also establish more rigorous vetting requirements for permanent residence applicants as well as expanding and improving upon efforts to protect Afghans left behind in Afghanistan following the evacuation. A copy of the bill text can be found here and an information sheet summarizing the bill here.
