The American Red Cross of St. Joseph County needs volunteers
The American Red Cross is seeking volunteers to assist with refugee resettlement in St. Joseph County. To accomodate families, the organization needs donations of household items (good furniture, etc.) and volunteers. A series of orientation training sessions will be held at the Red Cross offices, 3220 E Jefferson, South Bend. Congregation volunteers can assist with “one time” activities (such as help in moving belongings into the new apartments) or longer term involvement (tutoring, English language, job readiness). For more information, visit the Red Cross’ website (www.stjoe-redcross.org) or call Gena Robinson, 574-234-0191; Robinson@stjoe-redcross.org
